3/17th-3/23rd: Quarantine reminds me I have other projects

I’m still behind on some personal projects I wanted to create, so here’s some progress pics on that. Trying a new technique; creating all the values in black and white, and then creating a color layer over top.

It really is incredible, the difference shading can make. I took a picture of the character’s face side-by-side; one I only had the rough outline, and basic colors down, the other I worked for about an hour to shape it into something more three dimensional, with more detail, and then threw a color layer over top.

Still waiting to hear back from one particular client, otherwise all is quiet in this quarantine time. :/
