4/6th-4/13th: Challenges

So, at the start of last week, I decided to take on the #SixFanarts challenge, and asked for input on the characters. I figured I’d do a quick sketch of the poses, and do at least one a day (not that they take a day, I just have a short attention span).
Some things I noticed immediately for this:

  • having a consistent art goal that small keeps creativity running steady more than a giant project does

  • even if it’s a small project, you see improvement much quicker

  • small projects are good for the ‘muscle memory’ part of art

I’ve also hit a ‘challenge’ on my animatic project; primarily being, I need to find a better program for animating the animatic. And… I don’t want to. I don’t want to spend ANOTHER hundred dollars on ANOTHER program that’ll I’ll have to learn to get anything out of. I think I’m just brain dead right now. Sooo, that’s on the back burner.

I’ll also throw in a cheesy profile pic I did of myself. Because self-portraits are the ultimate selfie vanity. (But seriously, I think it’s also a good way to practice, so I might as well look good since I’m in control of the shapes).
