3/27th-4/3rd: Digital Paint work and Portraits

Starting a new challenge- recently moved, and over the course of my life I have collected many, MANY porcelain dolls. While I love them very much (unlike most people, y’all watch too many Annabelle films), they have no real home with me any longer, I’ve outgrown them. But I can’t part with them easily- each doll was given to me on a holiday by one of my grandmothers, and I’ve treasured them for years (well, the ones that managed to not be destroyed).

So, I am going to try and create a portrait a week for each doll, after which I will be able to let them go. This week’s was Elizabeth- and I did not get a chance to fully complete it, but I will continue to work on it, hopefully completing either tomorrow or Tuesday, and then move on to the next.

Once again using Krita, I am challenging myself this time to keep a minimum of four work layers: the initial rough sketch, the background, the person, and then foreground. Below is a compilation of screenshots throughout the procedure, as well as Elizabeth herself.
